Antenatal classes may not be available F2F. An excellent service is available from Debbie Ritz (see below), which I expect will be a better alternative to Hospital classes for many couples even when hospital based classes do resume.

Care Plan for your Pregnancy.
My name is Debbie Ritz.
I have been a midwife for 35 years; I describe it as the “best job in the world.”
It is my passion to assist families along this exciting new path in their lives. There are many uncertainties that accompany the process of pregnancy, labour and birth. I am here to guide, nurture and empower you with the appropriate information that may be helpful to you on your exciting journey. Not only are you going to be OK at the end of all of this, but you are also going to be so proud of yourself.
I will see you in the Norwest Private Hospital, Medical Centre, Suite 107, 9 Norbrik Drive at 36 weeks gestation at which time I will cover extensively how to prepare for labour and signs of labour.
We will discuss:

When to come into the hospital

What to bring to the hospital

Concerning signs

Induction of labour
-
Pain relief options
-
Modes of delivery including elective Caesarean sections

Where to get your baby car seat fitted

Any particular queries you may have

At the conclusion of the visit, I will email you the care plan I have discussed with you.
We will need at least an 45 minutes for this visit as it will involve a routine ante-natal visit and the care plan, so hopefully, you can bring your partner or support person along with you.
I work in collaboration with Dr Peter Bell, he is always the person to contact with any queries you may have regarding your pregnancy.
The charge will be $170, but you could expect to get $50-$70 back from medicare, so your actual cost will be $100-$120. Please bring your ante-natal card and your Medicare card.
This is a one on one service tailored to your specific needs, which you may prefer to Hospital run group classes.
