Whooping cough vaccinations

Whooping cough can be very serious for babies and children. If a mother is vaccinated in pregnancy she will create antibodies that cross the placenta.


When baby is born it will have antibodies in its blood stream that will provide protection until baby is old enough to receive its own vaccination.


The Australian government recommends that women be vaccinated against whooping cough every pregnancy. More....
